Snowshoeing in the Tibet of Abruzzo - an excursion between snow and breathtaking views
The Gran Sasso is the symbol mountain of Abruzzo, and admiring it from the vastness of the Campo Imperatore Plain is a unique and unforgettable experience. Our snowshoeing adventure takes place in this enchanting setting, known as the "Tibet of Abruzzo," a plateau that, with its pristine snow and endless spaces, offers extraordinary panoramas.
The route is suitable for everyone and will allow us to admire the majestic peaks of Gran Sasso and the evocative silence of this plateau.
We will meet in the village of Castel del Monte, where you can make use of the services (bar and restrooms). From here, we will continue toward the Campo Imperatore Plain (each with their own means of transport) to reach the location where the snowshoeing will take place.
The snowshoeing will take place in an area where there is snow, as far as the road allows, depending on the snow clearing conditions.

When making a reservation, you will need to enter your VOUCHER CODE. This will allow you to use it, and the voucher amount will be deducted from the total price.
If you partially use the voucher and still have a remaining balance, please write to us at info@majellando.it, and we will issue and send you a new voucher for the remaining amount via email.

The activity can take place under any weather conditions as the Equestrian Center hosting us is equipped with a covered arena where, if necessary, the outdoor ride can be turned into a riding lesson.

Is it possible to carry a baby under a few months in a carrier?
We recommend consulting the pediatrician and always considering the weather conditions for the day (too hot or too cold are not suitable for very young babies).
We also suggest positioning the carrier on your back, not in front, as a fall could be dangerous for your baby.
What is the trail like? can i participate even if i’ve never been mountain walking?

Activities "suitable for all" can be completed even by those who are not used to mountain trails as long as they are in good health.
Are there parking/restrooms at the meeting point?
