E-BIKE in the Tirino Valley

Escursioni in E-BIKE

ON AN ELECTRIC BIKE TO EXPLORE THE CLEANEST RIVER IN EUROPE

The Tirino River is a unique marvel of Abruzzo, and with our e-bike tour, we will explore its most beautiful hidden corners that only our local guides know.

We will start from the center of the town of Bussi sul Tirino and ride along the river until we reach the beautiful Abbey of San Pietro ad Oratorium. We will visit the interior, admiring the three naves and the wonderful Ciborium from the 1200s, which features a blessing Christ and an ancient pagan altar where burn marks from sacrifices are still visible.

After this dive into history, we will set off again to discover the hidden corners of the Tirino River.

Get ready to savor the delicious and fresh water that flows from the fountains and springs. This water comes from the Gran Sasso, traveling through the mountain’s underground to reach us with incredible freshness. Bring a container to collect some water and refresh yourself along the way.

Among the little beaches along the river and hidden coves, we will relax watching the slow flow of the clear waters and give our eyes the joy of a unique view of the river’s colors and reflections.

The landscape around us tells an ancient and wonderful story with views of the village of Capestrano, the Castle of Rocca Calascio in the background, and the majestic Gran Sasso.

After immersing ourselves in the greenery of the woods, we will ride along Lake Capodacqua and return to our starting point.

Upon our return, there will be an option for an aperitif, lunch, or dinner in the village of the Tirino River.
