From sunset to midnight, you will travel through space among planets, stars, and nebulae galaxies.

 

2 types of evenings

Emotions in nature with telescopes
The celestial mechanics and orientation techniques will be explained using pointing instruments and constellations through mythological references.
During the evenings, various sizes and optics of professional telescopes will be used.
The evenings related to this event will take place on the following dates:

  • July 6: an evening without the moon that will allow you to admire the night sky without light pollution
  • August 10: San Lorenzo night with the observation of the moon and the famous tears of San Lorenzo

 

The Cosmic Astronaut
Through light shows, cosmic magic, planetary soap bubbles, and amidst wonder and emotion, the Universe will be described in a simple and playful way to better understand the cosmic complexity of which we are a part.
Following this, there will be the observation of celestial wonders with a super technological telescope.

The evenings related to this event will take place on the following dates:

  • July 13
  • August 3

  • Meeting time: the meeting is scheduled 15 minutes before the chosen time slot
  • Where: Piani di Pezza (1400m above sea level) – Rocca di Mezzo (AQ) – Abruzzo

 

Easily accessible by private transport.

There is a large parking area near the observation site from which a natural pedestrian path along the Plain will lead to the site, which will be well marked by a position laser light.

Due to the orographic conformation of the area, the cell signal may be weak.

I already have a Majellando GIFT VOUCHER. How can I use it?
When making a reservation, you will need to enter your VOUCHER CODE. This will allow you to use it, and the voucher amount will be deducted from the total price.
If you partially use the voucher and still have a remaining balance, please write to us at info@majellando.it, and we will issue and send you a new voucher for the remaining amount via email.
If you do not enter the gift voucher code when making a reservation, you will not be able to use the voucher directly at the location where the experience takes place.

The activity can take place under any weather conditions as the Equestrian Center hosting us is equipped with a covered arena where, if necessary, the outdoor ride can be turned into a riding lesson.

This activity is suitable for people in good health. If you have any health issues to report, please inform us before the event by emailing info@majellando.it, or you can tell the guide before the start of the activity.

When should I communicate a cancellation?
In case of cancellation, we would appreciate prompt communication so we can offer your spot to other people who requested it but were excluded due to a lack of availability.

Does a minor need to be accompanied exclusively by a parent, or is it enough to be accompanied by an adult even if they are not a relative?
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

You will receive all the information via email after booking.

What should I communicate to the people who will be with me and for whom I have booked?
it is very important to communicate all details to those who will be with you.

  • The Google Maps location to reach the meeting point. During the journey to the activity location, someone might take a wrong turn; if they have received the Google Maps location, they will have no trouble reaching the designated meeting point.
  • The difficulty of the activity to be performed. Inform all participants about the level of difficulty to avoid unpleasant surprises: the duration, the distance to be covered, the elevation gain, the age of the children, and the necessary equipment.

Are long pants mandatory?
Yes, to avoid abrasions on your legs caused by friction with the horse, saddle, and any thorns encountered along the way.

Is this activity suitable for those who have never ridden a horse?
Yes, the route is suitable for beginners aged 8 and up (under 14, the horse will be led on a rope).
To ensure a safe and danger-free trek, the instructor/guide reserves the right to exclude anyone who:

  • Does not have appropriate clothing or cannot maintain balance and a stable position on the horse.
  • Shows evident signs of fear, panic, or difficulty staying on the horse and thus facing the trek.

If these difficulties arise during the trek, the instructor/guide reserves the right to modify and/or shorten the route at their discretion, adapting it to the level of the least experienced group member. This can be done without notifying the group to avoid panic and embarrassment.

Is the FISE certificate required?
A certificate is not required for this activity.
